This Privacy Policy explains how Software KiT SRL (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Romania, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the mobile game SPAN (the “Game”) and this website. By using the Game or this website, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account & identity

To play, you sign in through Firebase Authentication. Sign-in can be anonymous, or via Apple, Google, or email. We receive an authentication identifier and, if you sign in with email, your email address. We do not receive or store your social-login passwords.

Profile & gameplay

• Your chosen username and country.
• Your skill rating (Glicko-2) and match history.
• Purchase entitlements (e.g. ad-removal or subscription status).
• In-match data needed to run and review games — move-by-move replays, results, timing, and gameplay telemetry used for fair-play / anti-cheat checks.

Advertising identifiers

The free version of the Game shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may access device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. Whether ads are personalized depends on your consent (see “Your Choices”). Subscribers and players who have purchased ad-removal see no ads.

Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a validation result and your entitlement status. We never receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

• To run matches, matchmaking, ratings, and leaderboards.
• To provide replays, training, and your account features.
• To maintain competitive integrity (anti-cheat) and prevent abuse.
• To moderate usernames so the Game stays appropriate for all players.
• To show and measure advertising in the free version.
• To validate purchases and apply your entitlements.
• To diagnose problems and improve the Game.

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (running the Game and your account), for our legitimate interests (security, anti-cheat, abuse prevention, and product improvement), on the basis of your consent (personalized advertising), and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing & Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with providers that help us run the Game:

• Google Firebase — authentication and website hosting.
• Google AdMob — advertising in the free version.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — purchase processing and validation.

Your username, country, and rating are visible to other players on leaderboards and within matches. Our game servers are operated by us. These providers may process data outside your country; where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Data Retention

We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists and as needed for the purposes above. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

6. Your Choices & Rights

• Delete your account & data at any time from the Game: Settings → Delete account & data.
• Manage ad-personalization consent from the Game: Settings → Privacy & ad consent → Manage ad consent.
• Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data, and may object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
• You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Romania, the ANSPDCP).

7. Children

The Game is suitable for a general audience and may be used by minors. Where a user is below the age of digital consent in their country, or where required by platform policy, advertising is served non-personalized. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is necessary to provide the Game. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data inappropriately, contact us and we will address it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the Game.
